Most branding problems aren't really about branding.

The challenge is clarity. Over the last few decades, I've helped organizations find the story hiding behind the meetings, PowerPoint decks, and industry jargon. Sometimes that story leads to a new positioning. Sometimes it's a new name, a content campaign, or a product launch.

As a creative director and brand strategist, I've led teams at Material, Sanders\Wingo, GSD&M and Creature Theory, helping shape brands including ABM Industries, AT&T, General Motors, State Farm and the NBA's Valley Suns. I also co-founded the Behavioral Science Lab, partnering with psychologists and data scientists to deliver insights for Volkswagen, Dell, and Coca-Cola.

My brand work has appeared on NBC's Shark Tank and in Lürzer's Archive, The One Show, and Communication Arts. I've taught advertising at UNC-Chapel Hill and UT Austin, and currently guest lecture in UT's McCombs School of Business MS in Marketing program.
For my clients, I bring energy, healthy skepticism and a lot of questions. I still believe the best ideas come from curiosity, honest conversations, and asking about the thing everyone else has politely avoided.

If you enjoy friendly debates and day trips into the unknown, let’s talk.
